In an electrifying match at Planet Ice Leeds, Leeds Lightning triumphed over the Chester Road Reapers with a resounding 14-5 victory. The game was characterised by a flurry of goals and penalties, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats from the opening face-off to the final buzzer.


First Period

Leeds Lightning wasted no time in taking control of the game. The scoring opened early with James Rooney-W netting the first goal at 2:57, assisted by Ryan Wade. Less than a minute later, McKenzie Jordan doubled the lead with an unassisted goal at 3:46. The Lightning continued their offensive onslaught with Chris Armitage scoring at 9:17, assisted by Alan White and Ryan Wade, followed swiftly by Alan White's goal at 9:38, assisted by McKenzie Jordan.

Ryan Wade capped off the early scoring spree with an unassisted goal at 10:15, bringing the score to 5-0. However, the Reapers managed to get on the board at 10:09 with an unassisted goal by Josh Jones. The period saw more action with penalties, including a 2-minute interference penalty on Lee Burden at 9:51.


Second Period

The second period began with Leeds Lightning extending their lead. Ryan Wade scored at 12:20, assisted by Chris Armitage, followed by another Wade goal at 18:24, assisted by Gary McKie. The Reapers struck back with a goal by Andy Gibson at 16:10, unassisted. The Lightning's offensive dominance continued with Aaron Jordan scoring at 22:35, assisted by Ryan Wade, and Wade again at 22:42, assisted by Callum Leech. Third Period

The third period saw more high-paced action. McKenzie Jordan secured his hat-trick with a goal at 36:57, assisted by Lee Burden. The Reapers responded with a fifth goal by Josh Jones at 44:33, unassisted. Leeds continued their scoring spree with Alex Frewin finding the net at 43:02, assisted by James Rooney-W, and Chris Armitage adding another at 47:08, assisted by Ryan Wade. Ryan Wade sealed the comprehensive victory with a goal at 57:45, assisted by Chris Armitage.


Penalties

The game was punctuated by numerous penalties, reflecting the intense and physical nature of the contest.
